PRE-IPO Communication service provider is looking for an Optical Engineer with Object Oriented programming experience!

Located in beautiful Sonoma County CA, we are a PRE IPO company who was recently recognized as one of the best companies in America! Due to unprecedented growth we are looking for an experienced Optical Engineer who can apply optical principles to help advance our optical transport network!     What's needed?
  • Must be able to relocate to the Petaluma / Santa Rosa area
  • Advanced degree in Optics or Applied Physics
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the field
  • Hands on experience working with optical transport systems using launch and receive power levels, link budgets, OSNR, etc
  • Computer simulation of optical components and optical systems experience is needed.
  • Object Oriented programming experience

    • What You'll Be Doing

  • You will be tasked with applying optical principles to the design of optical assemblies and optical transport networks.
  • We need your help in driving the design of optical components using computer simulations.
  • Performing network evaluation, doing computer simulations, and lab testing.
  • Help us define our methodology and our constraints when using optical transport networks.
