In this highly strategic role, you'll incorporate our vision and requirements to architect an elegant solution for the iOS team. Your expertise and leadership are key to delivering a jaw-dropping experience for subscribers on our largest app to date. Your confidence to change processes, re-factor architecture when necessary, and overcome complex technical challenges will enable you to blaze new trails, not tried before. You'll lead the creation of an exquisite customer experience through intelligent development of rich user interfaces and supporting web services. As our technical and creative ninja for the iPad and iPhone platform, we estimate you'll spend a third of your time on leading, a third on architecting, and a third on coding. You'll also

Lead the development of high quality/stable code, recommend technology/process improvements

Introduce and develop all the new features for our mobile platforms

Influence stakeholders to reach difficult technical decisions; make buy v. build decisions

Help build, lead and mentor a team of 5 iOS developers

Work closely with other team leads & architects to deliver scalable mobile products

Resolve the most complex issues - tackling technology blockers, consulting experts, researching options, weighing trade-offs

Plus

You'll need an impressive track record (7+ years) building mobile, desktop, or web apps in a production environment, plus

2+ years experience developing complex native applications for iOS or Mac OS X

Successfully released and maintained iPhone or iPad apps in the App Store

Exp with an online consumer product company, or wherever digital content is produced

Exposure to a broad array of technologies - desktop, mac, .net, etc.

Experience using Core Animation to create slick animations and interfaces and multithreading a plus

Fluency with Objective-C, with knowledge of java, C, C++

Unbridled creative passion with superb analytical and communication skills

BSEE / BSCS
