What You Need For This Position

VA SAR #

USDA Underwriting Experience a Plus 3+ years as a Mortgage Underwriter(underwritten FHA and VA loans within the last year)

Full understanding FHA Guidelines and Mortgagee Letters

Full understanding VA Guidelines - Excellent Analytical & Communication Skills

Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task

Have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

What Youll Be Doing

Underwriting FHA/VA/USDA loan files

Evaluate loan level risk and establish final loan decisions

Reviewing incoming documentation and confirming data integrity

Reviewing and analyzing appraisals, title reports, purchase contracts, etc:

Making decisions based on FHA, VA, USDA and proprietary guidelines

Issuing loan approval, counter offers, or denials

Maintain contact with investors and agencies to obtain required information and/or documentation
