We are a leading SaaS company who specializes in advertising, marketing and analytics solutions. We are well known for our products in our niche markets and have been in growth mode (due to recent acquisitions) over the past few years. Due to this growth, we are currently experiencing an expansion in our IT and Engineering groups and have an opening for a Sr. Data Engineer/Developer.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
3+ years of experience in the BI space with experience in data modeling, performance tuning, logical/physical database design, deployment and infrastructure planning.
5 years of experience with RDBMS and distributed database concepts and design in PostgresSQL or Oracle.
3+ years of experience in table partitioning, storage planning, auditing, and alert infrastructure.
Background in developing programs in PL/SQL, Unix shell scripts (bash, dash), scripting languages (any of Perl, Python, Ruby).
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of large tables, indexes, stored procedures and queries
Detail-oriented and able to follow clear methodologies for troubleshooting and development
Understanding of software development best practices (version control, project lifecycles, issue management, continuous integration, unit and integration testing)
Familiarity with Gomez, Nagios, Ganglia, or similar monitoring tools.What You Will Be Doing
Implement complex queries against large datasets to support business intelligence functions
Script functions, stored procedures, and jobs using PL/SQL and scripting languages
Analyze historical data and generate trends
Participate in the design and development of the data warehouse and its anticipated growth
