Compensation: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
Our client based in Alpharetta to join their finance team because of growth. This position exists to perform analytical and/or financial functions including financial analysis which may impact multiple functional areas. Deals with issues of complexity which require decision making and creative solutions. Plans, coordinates and schedules individuals and/or team efforts.
- Secures relevant information and identifies key issues that are directly related to problem assessment.
- Provide recommendation for problem resolutions.
- Prepares and analyzes schedules, reports or journal entries.
- Understands impact of actions and analysis to overall financials.
- Understands financial/accounting systems and software relevant to area as well as relationships between the systems.
- Engages in complex research from multiple sources of information for purpose of identifying cause and effect relationships.
- Provides financial reporting (ex. budgets, actuals, customer usage) to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Identifies problem areas when looking at information, seeing patterns, trends or missing pieces, noticing when a current situation is similar to a past situation and identifies the similarities.
- Questions inconsistency in financial data elements.
- Makes recommendation to resolve. Gathers and interprets information, makes assessments and completes reconciliations.
- Prepares and analyzes schedules, reports and/or journal entries and understands their impact on the overall financials.
- Independently gathers, assess and interprets information and makes preliminary recommendations.
- Prepares and analyzes schedules, reports and/or journal entries and understands their impact on the overall financials.
- Proactively identifies problem areas and trends when looking at information and makes recommendations to appropriate levels of management for resolution and assists with implementation.
- Communicates information with manager oversight to individuals outside of the finance department.
- Has strong business writing skills and can effectively communicate with all levels of management with the appropriate level of detail.
- Assist with developing and supporting presentations with management oversight.
- Develops processes and implements improvements from ones own initiative.
- Volunteers for projects and special analysis outside of regularly assigned duties.
- Develops & submits accurate data/reports or knows when to ask for help when confronted with questionable data.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned or required.
Requirements
Four year degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
5+ years direct experience
MBA or certification preferred , i.e. CMA, CFA or CPA
Diverse financial analysis and accounting experience
In depth understanding of financial/accounting systems and software
Understands the roles and relationship of organizational units and processes
Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheets, query and database management programs?
