Our client, a privately owned Washington, D.C. market leader in their industry, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to immediately join their accounting department at the Georgetown headquarters. Ideal candidates will have an excellent foundation in accounting as well as strong managerial experience and an eagerness to mentor entry level accounting staff. In addition to managing day-to-day accounting operations and a timely month end close, this position will participate heavily in operational and business process improvements as the organization continues to grow and acquire competitors. Qualified Candidates Will Possess

  • 5+ years accounting experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to analyze monthly financial statement variance
  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and budgeting experience
  • Experience participating in external audit
  • Expert Excel skills
