Responsibilities
Fortune Pharmaceutical Company located in Central, NJ is looking for an Manager of Technical Accounting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides technical accounting support to business functions in
connection with the implementation of various changes in
accounting policies and procedures, adoption of new accounting
standards and/or business initiatives/contracts and ensure
practical solutions proposed. Presents conclusions to both
senior management and external auditors.
Monitors and reports upon the standard setting activities of
The International Accounting Standards Board, The Financial
Accounting Standards Board, the Securities Exchange Commissions and other standard setting bodies, before they become
effective.
Develop and present complex accounting matters, new accounting
pronouncements and company polices to train employees on that
impact the companys financial statements.
Partners with business development to support activities by
providing expert technical accounting evaluation of potential
acquisitions, strategic planning or other alliance
transactions. This includes purchase price allocation of
acquisitions in accordance with IFRS for all North America
deals ranging from $100M to multi-billion dollars.
Help to manage relationship with both internal and external
auditors. Coordinate, address and ensure resolution of
accounting, reporting, and internal control issues that arise.
Requirements
The candidate must have a bachelors degree in accounting, CPA preferred. 5 or more years experience is required. The candidate must also have management/supervision experience in a public accounting firm, preferably the Big 4. Knowledge of IFRS a plus.
