Process Engineer

This position ensures continuous operation and efficient production by troubleshooting daily process problems and develops long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Designs, plans and performs process experiments and studies to derive information required to develop sound engineering solutions for achieving process improvements to optimize plant efficiency and product quality. Researches and investigates new methodology for advantageous application. Communicates and interacts effectively with other technical plant engineering staff as well as all levels of production personnel in support of project implementation, problem solving, and continuous improvement objectives.

Qualifications

Ability to find and develop process improvements and assume responsibility for plant projects is essential.
Innovative, highly motivated self-starter to conceive and initiate new projects through daily interaction with operators, mechanics, peers, supervisors and managers is required.
Bachelors degree in chemical engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a chemical processing plant preferred. Other engineering degree with relevant soda ash processing experience will also be considered.
Excellent communication skills are an absolute necessity.
Prior experience in chemical plant operations monitoring and troubleshooting is essential.
Knowledge of safety requirements in refining operations is required.
