The Information Security Architect is responsible for subject matter expertise and technical direction for strategic and operational security activities. The Security Architect will participate with the customer in the technical design process to translate security requirements into systems and controls.

The Responsibilities Of The Security Architect Include

  • Ensuring the delivery of information security services to the customer is in compliance with the contract / statement of work
  • Defining, implementing and maintaining information security procedures and settings for supported customer
  • Designing, developing and / or recommending security systems solutions that will ensure data and systems are protected
  • Participating with the customer in the technical design process to translate security requirements into systems and controls
  • Providing technical security expertise to leadership in support of security strategy development and implementation
  • Providing security expertise during the design and review of new and/or changing infrastructure, solutions, and application implementations
  • Evaluating new and emerging security products and technologies; making recommendations to customer leadership concerning introduction of new technologies
  • Reviewing and validating service management tickets (e.g., incident, problem, request, change) related to information security; ensuring tickets are routed to appropriate assignee; providing direction on remediation and ensuring remediation is complete
  • Monitoring and assessing vendor and 3rdparty information security reports/lists
  • Researching attempted efforts to compromise security protocols

  • Required Skills

  • 8-10 years of information security experience and a strong knowledge of security standards.
  • Experience with information security internal & external audits, contract compliance, and quality initiatives.
  • At least one of the following certifications:
  • CISSP
  • CISA
  • CISM

  • Desired Skills

  • Project management
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • Customer relationship management experience at the senior level

  • Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 8-10 years relevant experience or graduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience
