About The Sr. System Sofware Engineer

Sr. system software engineer responsible for designing and implementing software functionality to support both Dell-F10 and 3rd party hardware bring-up.

Years of experience 12

  • Strong exposure to operating systems (Linux, NetBSD and Vxworks), with knowledge on internals in terms of interrupt, DMA, boot up operations, device drivers, network protocol stack and memory management areas.
  • Knowledge on SMP and enhancing the system for higher performance in SMP environments. Knowledge on Hypervisor and VM environment and knowledge on the support required for Linux/NetBSD environment to support hypervisor and also to be able to improve performance in this environment.
  • Have good experience in being able to identify potential areas of scaling and performance and also enhanced debug ability.
  • Excellent understanding of the user space programs, process and thread libraries, and optimizing/troubleshooting user space programs for handling SMP and hypervisor based environments.
  • Strong exposure or working knowledge on components such as process restartability, SW upgrades, patches, Chassis and Alarm management, Failure handling, linecard management etc would be a plus.
