Description/Job Summary

General Description– Responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and manufacture our products.

Roles And Responsibilities

Process Improvement– Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes at the Houston Product Company: It will be your responsibility to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design,
materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Create/Develop assembly fixtures.

You will also analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. You will confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient
production methods. Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. Be an integral part of the Engineering DN (Design Notification Process). Become major player in New Product Development
(NPD) teams

Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing
capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future and potential manufacturing requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience– Five years of relevant experience.

Education– Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Skills– Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and engineering design skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, as well as in IBM Lotus Notes applications.
