Youth Swim Instructor
Description
The YMCA of Southern Nevada is seeking individuals who enjoy teaching water safety. The Youth Swim Instructor will conduct swimming instruction using the National Aquatic YMCA Programs. Insures safety of the students at all times and communicates the function and mission of the Association to members, staff, and guests of the YMCA as well as the general public.
DUTIES
Promotes and implements the National YMCA Aquatics programs. Maintains attendance and skill accomplishment records. Follows daily lesson plans. Maintains all required aquatic certifications. Builds and maintains a high standard of member service with members. For more information please read the attached job description.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age. High School Diplomas or general education (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully pass a water test consisting of various strokes and general swimming skills. Current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification required.
