Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the Maintenance Initiatives Team comprised of maintenance, utilities and instrument specialists to ensure that all support services are maintained, new efficiencies are realized, and overall execution effectiveness is increased at the Genentech, Vacaville facility.
  • ProvideFacility Services support and engagement on engineering/technology projects, brokering and coordinating Facility Services representation on project teams, ensuring close collaboration and communication between project teams and Facility Services, assuring timely flow of documentation and master data, and facilitating operational readiness.
  • Interact with client groups, service providers, existing Vacaville maintenance management, and South San Francisco functions to leverage and optimize maintenance support resources, programs, and practices.
  • Assist Manager in planning, development, and promotion of the Department''s objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, evaluate, and coach subordinates.
  • Provide leadership and coordination of maintenance operations, systems, procedures and documentation development.

    • Job Requirements

  • At least eight years of progressive experience in maintenance or utility operations with a proven performance record.
  • Demonstrated successes in leadership and organization.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
