Position Description

We are seeking an extremely knowledgeable, energetic, and highly motivated Lead Configuration Management engineer. You must have extensive experience in software development and configuration management tools and processes. You will be part of a team that is developing and deploying leading-edge technology used in software development and release process. The position requires an individual with a strong interest or background in process automation. You must be capable of identifying alternatives and solutions, and you must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the implementation and deployment of configuration management and internal infrastructure tools, processes and technologies
  • Drives continuous improvement in tools and technologies to increase engineering efficiency and release predictability
  • Performs and participates in code and architectural design reviews
  • Provides support and mentoring to junior members of the team
  • Manages and/or administers multiple source code repositories
  • Participates in the evaluation and development of build and test automation tools
  • Adapts to continuously changing environment, technologies and solutions

  • Position Requirements

  • BSEE/CS required
  • 7-10 years experience in software development lifecycle as software or configuration management engineer
  • Experience administering and using various source code management systems (Perforce/Clearcase/Subversion/CVS/etc)
  • Experience with debugging and resolving compilation and link issues (Unix, Linux and/or Windows platforms)
  • Experience using software analysis tools (Purify, Valgrind, gcov, Coverity, QAC++)
  • Experience integrating/using build automation systems (Electric Commander, Cruise Control, Hudson, etc)
  • Experience writing and using process automation scripts (Python, Perl is highly desireable)
  • Experience developing internal web sites and dashboards using Web 2.0 technologies (HTML, XML/XSLT, AJAX, etc)
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
