Oracle Functional Consultant

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

• Ability to gather, relate, and assess data and provide recommendations by applying business knowledge and analytical skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude.

• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.

• Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Masters in Business Administration

• Experience with Vertex Q Series version 3.3 or higher

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Knowledge of SQL and relational database design desired.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of Oracle AIM methodology

• Ability to travel as required.

Job Description

You will is responsible for business process analysis in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives, and working with other Business Analysts through collaboration and team-work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serves a subject matter expert for Oracle EBS financials modules. The Oracle modules include, but are not limited to, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, eBusiness Tax, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger. The role requires an extensive knowledge of Oracle application best practices and project management concepts.

• Works with internal business partners to develop scope for IT related initiatives and conducts periodic business process reviews to identify potential efficiency gains within existing business process.

• Applications upgrade testing across multiple system/functional areas.

• Monitors application development to ensure quality and on-time deliverables.

• Provide application specific research with regard to setups and process flow.
