Responsibilities

A Kforce client is seeking a Build Release Engineer in Pleasanton, California (CA).

Daily Responsibilities

• Automate, monitor, and maintain the software build systems for all IAM systems
• Design, document and code an automated integration/build and release process
• Manage release branches
• Build and deploy release binaries

Required Skills

• Excellent knowledge of software engineering practices: continuous integration, configuration management, build optimization, build automation, and deployment
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX / Linux and Windows
• Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems
• Ability to design, build and deploy packages in native package format (AIX bff, Solaris PKG, Linux RPM,
• Excellent knowledge of Star Team, Subversion and Ant
• Release/Launch planning
• Strong knowledge of most scripting languages such as Perl, Shell Script, Python

Desired Skills

• AIX, Linux, Solaris administrations skills
• Extensive knowledge of SDLC
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience with Quest Authentication Services and Beyond Trust Power Broker
• CISSP Certification

Soft Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, release engineering, and/or software configuration management
• Minimum of 2 years experience implementation of tools for developers or build engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Works well in Team environment
• Results oriented
• Self motivated
