Summary

In an effort to better service our No. Virginia customers - our company drivers' pick-up a pre-loaded truck at a drop site in Sterling Virginia and make hand truck deliveries to our various customers located in the same general area.

Responsibilities And Duties

Hand truck deliveries of food and non-food products to our customers located in northern Virginia include, but are not limited to restaurants, schools, caterers, hospitals, nursing homes, delis, etc. At the end of the day drop off empty truck at same drop site in northern Virginia.
When you reach the customer's location select product from inside the trailer. This may involve pulling, lifting, re-stacking or pushing product from stacks or walls of trailer. Stack product on back of trailer and load onto handcart for delivery to customer's assigned area. Lift product weighing 40 – 60 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. less often. Use two wheel handcart to push/pull product (load weight up to 300 lbs.) on ramp and/or lift gate and/or steps as required. Read, write and speak English in order to track paperwork manually and enter data into computer. Collect cash payments from customers and maintain customer service relationships.

Minimum Qualifications And Abilities

This is a full-time position working Monday through Saturday, starting at 4 a.m. and working until the job is complete. Successful candidates must be 21 years of age and have the legal right to work in the United States. Must have a valid Class “A” CDL license and a minimum of three months recent Class “A” CDL local touch freight delivery driving experience (solo) and no more that two moving violation convictions in the last three years. Must successfully pass a road test and DOT physical and drug test and be available to work the maximum allowed hours under DOT regulations. No resolved or unresolved felony convictions within the last seven years. No DUI/DWI convictions within the last three years and no multiple DUI/DWI convictions.
Rate of pay: $21.11 per hour or ABC (Activity Based Compensation – pieces, stops and miles)
Work schedule: Monday – Saturday. Off Sunday and one day in the middle of the week. Must be flexible, most start at 4:00 a.m.
