Manages the day-to-day activities of the USPS organization's contract support team to successfully meet all of the requirements contained in the contract statement of work. Advises and provides guidance to team leaders, coordinators, and work groups in the performance of their duties.
Performs ongoing liaison with customers to identify, examine, and adjust workload requirements, priorities, budgets, resource allocations, etc. in relation to short/long-term project requirements.
Works closely with team leaders and other team members to plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and monitor a wide range of simultaneous projects and ensure that all technical, schedule, quality, and cost performance meets customer requirements. Evaluates the complexity and dimension of new projects, determines staffing and other resource requirements, and assigns projects to appropriate work groups. Uses detailed outlines, plans, milestone schedules, technical reports, and other management tools to ensure successful performance of all task/project requirements.
Recruits, screens, interviews, selects, and hires qualified personnel for various positions within the overall contract support team. Analyzes the work of subordinates and takes appropriate steps for retention, promotion or other personnel actions. Evaluates the quality, completeness, and accuracy of individual and team output. Designs and implements processes to streamline, enhance the quality of, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of technical and administrative support services.
Applies the concepts of team dynamics and coordinates efforts with cross-functional teams to enhance the quality of services delivered in support of the USPS organization's mission.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
BA or BS degree in appropriate field (i.e. business or technical discipline) required.
Ten years of relevant work experience; proven leadership qualities; Demonstrated management and supervisory skills; Strong customer service skills; Well-developed human relations and oral/written communication skills.
Successful candidate must be able to obtain and retain a USPS security clearance. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US and a resident of the US for the previous 5 years with no longer than a 90 day absence.
