Bar Security
Job Description
- Greets patrons upon arrival and departure
- Enforce liquor and bar entry laws
- Visits the bar frequently to ensure bar's security standards are met
- Monitors entrance and exits to ensure that individuals do not leave with alcoholic beverages
- Resolves conflict and maintains a non – threatening disposition when handling hostile situations
- Takes care of patrons' welfare--for instance, by summoning taxis on request, or if apparent that the patron has no other form of transportation, or is too intoxicated
- Documents various incidents that may occur
- Maintains appropriate business attire during entire work shift
Working Conditions
- Formal banquet environment that provides bar service to social and business patrons
- Team environment where communication and cooperation is expected
- Employee is subject to long periods of standing and repeated use of stairs
Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma
- CPR Certified
- Must successfully pass background check
- Professionally assertive and able to work well within a team
- Experience in armed forces, police or fire work a plus
- Security Training or “Guard Card” Certification a plus
