Skills

Both positions involve providing exceptional service to our customers via phone interactions. Detail orientation, problem-solving abilities, and computer skills are critical to success in both positions. The very competitive pay is the same for both. Some differences exist between the jobs:

Customer Service Representatives work with customers to set up, change and close accounts, resolve service issues, handle billing questions, process contracts, and provide backup switchboard coverage. Some collection calls are required.

Customer Service Dispatchers communicate with customers as well as with our drivers by radio to ensure customer needs are met. They compile route map books and perform cashier duties in the scale house. Some Saturday work is required.

Minimum Qualifications For Both Jobs Are

• 3-5 years experience resolving customer issues on the phone
• Proficient in the use of Excel and Word
• Experience with computerized customer management systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail orientation
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong team orientation
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, is a plus
• High school diploma required, some college preferred, college degree highly preferred
