We are looking for a packaging engineer to join our team in the Grand Rapids facility. This position works to develop, implement and evaluate customer packaging design needs for new packaging or improve existing items. Must be able to perform in a detailed, multi-task , fast paced environment providing technical designs for corrugated paper ie. folding cartons, reels, partitions, etc.

The Designer Needs The Following Knowledge And Skills

Technical ability, understanding production machine allowances and capabilities

Extended experience with ARTIOS

Ability to develop and test product layouts and specs

Good communication skills with sales, CSR’s, venders, production staff

Strong math skills, ability to calculate percentages, columns, ratios etc

Knowledge of product specifications and their relation to projects

Min 2 yrs experience with corrugated

Amtech experience a plus

This position REQUIRES aBachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineer/Design.
