Sr. Test Engineer Position Information Company Samsung Telecommunications America (STA)Location Bridgewater, New JerseyDescription PositionSummary Title: Senior Test Engineer (multiple) Location: Samsung Telecommunications America, Bridgewater, New Jersey 08807 Duties: Create on-time, high quality test cases to verify compliance to dynamic customer requirements and complex new technology. Perform moderately complex systems testing, verification and work to resolve issues related to supported products. Provide in-depth and timely analysis of current technical requirements and rapid creation of accompanying tests. Report defects and verify fixes through regression testing and other methodologies. Monitor customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop test methods to improve overall customer satisfaction. Update issue tracking and requirement management tools to ensure all information is current and properly shared. Participate in technical discussions with mobile operators to establish requirement changes. Work closely with project steering group to ensure products' compliance with customers' requirements. Provide technical advice to other teams as a domain knowledge expert in one or more technical areas. Conduct analysis of advanced test methods such as test automation. Study technical trends and market trends in assigned areas to develop test methods to help prepare for upcoming changes in requirements. Deploy test tools. Common EssentialDuties & Resp. Requirements: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and three years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or occupation requiring wireless telecommunications engineering. Will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation requiring wireless mobile telecommunications engineering, or any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Experience must include: 1. Three years of experience in wireless software development or QA/Testing engineering. 2. Three years of experience in wireless network system architecture, platform security, enterprise mobile solutions, cloud computing, DRM, VOD, FOTA, Network protocols, SMS, MMS, IOT, HDMI, HDCP, DLNA, and Power management. 3. Three years of experience delivering integrated and tested software for CDMA mobile handsets. 4. One year of wireless carrier based testing for US operator requirements and mobile devices. 5. Three years of experience using LTE, CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, and GSM in wireless network systems. 6. Cloud computing experience in wireless mobile telecommunications. 7. Experience working with CDMA handset features and applications including BREW, SMS, EMS, Multimedia, data, or MIP. 8. Experience performing embedded and UI software tests on mobile handsets. 9. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. 10. PC and UNIX workstation experience in a LAN/WAN systems environment. 11. Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other engineering and technical support personnel. 12. Ability to manage, plan, organize, and prioritize multiple engineering support assignments and projects. 13. Ability to read, write, interpret, provide critical review and act on a very high level and full understanding of technical documents, engineering test manuals, standards and specifications, materials, customer applications and related documents. 14. Demonstrated high competency level in communication of technical information. 15.
