Assistant Customer Service Manager / Assistant Manager
Summary: Position responsible for providing leadership, development and motivation of Store Associates and Assistant Managers as assigned by Customer Service Manager. Position is required to deliver excellence in customer service. Position will support their assigned store in maximizing revenue growth as they meet all operational goals and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Will promote a culture of Excellence in Customer Service' by a complete commitment to meeting our customers needs
- Will promote an atmosphere of high energy, positive attitude, and sales focused staff
- Will Assist Customer Service Manager in Recruiting, completing hiring requirements, schedule training and develop effective and engaged store employees
- Will assist Customer Service Manager in meeting customer expectations by providing a well stocked, clean and overall appealing store conditions
- Will prepare weekly employee schedules; develop work plans and assignments for store employees as assigned by Manager
- Will adhere to and follow all Federal Labor Guidelines, OSHA policies, and all regulatory requirements
- Will provide the safest possible environment for employees and customers, will protect the companys assets, information, cash, merchandise, and property
- Will assist Manager in maintaining operation records, prepares daily reports in a timely manner
- Will assist Manager in Monitoring and controlling both cash and inventory, to include completing store inventory orders, partner with our venders to insure in stock conditions consistently
- Will ensure compliance of established procedures, practices, sales and security from every Employee Manual. Provides coaching, counseling and progressive discipline as needed to develop staff as assigned by manager
- Will provide communication to staff on policies, procedures, best practices. Will communicate back to Customer Service Manager from store employees and will communicate any store needs
- Will be available to work holidays, weekends and flexible hours as assigned by Customer Service Manager
Qualification/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven leadership experience and/or history of successful industry assistant manger or retail assistant management experience
- Ability to develop and motivate a highly effective team of anywhere from two to twenty store employees
- Able to resolve/mediate complaints and problems as they arise from customers and employees. Ability to maintain calm professional attitude under stressful conditions
- Will have excellent communication skills
- Will be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to complete mathematical calculations, learn budgeting and to assist in meeting target budget and operational goals
- Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), climb ladders, tolerate chemical smells such as gasoline, tolerate cold temperatures (38 degrees).
- Will have advanced experience in customer service
