Job Summary
The LAN Analyst III serves as a member of DCP Midstream Field Support Team focusing on developing and maintaining the hardware, software, and IT infrastructure. This includes the local & wide area network, servers, PCs, and phone systems.
Essential Functions
Provides desktop/computer support for various systems and hardware, including troubleshooting and repairs.
Configures and installs upgrade equipment and software as necessary.
Orders and tracks purchases of PCs per guidelines and standards.
Serves as a network and PC advisor for daily operations and major projects.
Works with vendors and other IT professionals to design and plan solutions.
Works in teams with other IT personnel and business users to implement computer systems and business solutions.
Participates in communicating the IT strategy and direction for DCP Midstream within assigned area.
Evaluates hardware and software options for PCs, and recommends upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Installs and configures routers, switches and hubs as directed, with limited assistance
Reviews Telecom and data billing as directed, with limited assistance.
Maintains local PBX and associated circuitry as directed, with limited assistance.
Installs and programs desktop phones and ensures proper operation.
Minimum Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, and/or Computer Science, OR equivalent experience and training. As well as 4'9 years? related experience in maintaining a network environment as a degreed professional or equivalent related network experience and training as a non-degreed professional.
This position may be filled as a LAN Analyst III or higher.
