We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Instrument and Electrical Technician with our Chemical Plant located in Convent, Louisiana.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide instrumentation and electrical maintenance to electrical, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Support PSM standards by participating in PSA's and follow-up/enforce MOC's as appropriate.
  • Assess and increase equipment reliability.
  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to plant equipment such as rectifiers, transmitters, control systems, control valves, motor controls, relay systems, lighting systems, conduit systems, switchgear, programmable controllers, TDC equipment in accordance with the governing standards and procedures, with minimal supervision.
  • LI-CI
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • NCCER craft certification required
  • 5 years of industrial I&E maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • Journeyman Electrician license OR Associates Degree or Technical Diploma in Instrumentation preferred
  • High voltage experience is a plus

    • Physical Requirements

  • Normal outdoor activities for inspections and observations are required for this position.
  • Normal physical senses are necessary along with ability to transverse uneven surfaces, stairways, and vertical ladders.
  • Use of accepted safety equipment is necessary.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and/or elevated locations are necessary to perform the duties of this position.
