ICES (International Cultural Exchange Services) is looking for candidates to serve as Area Representatives in their local community. ICES provides academic year and semester exchange programs the United States for high school-aged students from many countries around the world. Students are 15-18 years old, have passed a series of academic and character requirements, and are looking for welcoming American host families in all 50 states for the duration of their academic year or semester.

Requirements

  • Recruit, screen, and interview prospective Host Families prior to the student's arrival, verifying that they meet ICES standards for Host Families.
  • Place students with approved families. Complete and submit the placement paperwork required by the ICES National Office and the Department of State.
  • Conduct orientations with Host Families and Exchange Students, including a Welcome Orientation and a Re-entry Orientation.
  • Provide ongoing support for students, families and schools throughout the academic year, including organized group activities twice a semester.
