Seeking a professional for a Technical Support Engineer position. The qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills as this job requires frequent interface with customers from various groups such as Corporate Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing Departments, as well as similar team members from within the company. The ideal candidate should also possess good analytical skills and can provide executive summaries to the supervisor based on large volume of warranty data, line rejection data, production history, etc. This job will mainly be based in a customer site in Wichita, KS and involve up to 25% travel to other customer sites in the US.Responsibilities:-Under some supervision, support multiple engineering project activities, such as interfacing with customer-s engineers for design input, setting up project milestones, collecting necessary and relevant data from customers and working with design engineers to provide the best solution, action item tracking and follow-ups.-Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support, such as writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, demonstrating company-s product features, assisting in motor sizing and applications, and completing progress reports.-Respond to customer-s quality-related issues including but not limited to Defective Parts per Million, Corrective Action Notice, First Article Inspection, Line Rejections, Field Rejections.-As required, travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, inspection and documentation of defective motors.-Maintain good customer relation including listening and documenting customer complaints and advices for improvements, attending regular Supplier Performance Index meetings.-Assist in delivery/inventory management including tracking and following up with weekly motor deliveries to customer-s warehouses.-Perform other related duties as assigned.
