Our client in the Boston area has a great opportunity available for an experienced Systems Engineer with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience designing, building and managing client-server infrastructure on Unix platforms, especially RedHat/CentOS Linux.

Salary

$86,000 - $92,000, depending on experience.

Minimum Requirements

B.A. or B.S. or equivalent work experience is required.

Must have experience designing, building and managing at least 2 or more of the following:

Apache-based Web services

Directory services (especially LDAP)

Authentication services (especially Kerberos and Shibboleth)

MySQL hosting

Sendmail-based e-mail

Large-scale network file shares (e.g., NFS)

Experience With The Following Technologies Is Desirable

PERL and Shell scripting

MySQL Enterprise Edition and MySQL Community Edition

PHP

F5 application delivery controllers

Solaris 10+

Primary Responsibilities

Manage the hardware and software underpinning Server Hosting, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Communication and Collaboration Services, Terminal Services, Storage Services, and Outsourced/Cloud services.

Assist in the deployment and on-going management of specialized Line of Business servers and software.
