We are actively seeking a Sharepoint Architect for a 6+ month contract for the Quincy, Massachusetts area. Primary responsibilities include partnering successfully with the solution delivery team, site and user services and global operations to ensure the design, implementation, deployment and support of Sharepoint solutions are effectively delivered. This role is accountable to research solutions and present functional and technical evaluation and recommendation of products, system upgrades and enhancements on a global basis.
Note: Must be able to pass a background verification before hire.
Hourly Rate
$78-$83, per hour. Depends on experience.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors Degree - Computer Science preferred - or equivalent hands-on experience and computer courses.
A minimum of 10 or more years related experience, including minimum 3-4 years current Sharepoint Architect level expertise with proven ability to introduce and execute system solutions.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to and influence technological direction and advancement of solutions aligned to Enterprise Information Technology and companys global strategy.
Self-starter and willingness to take on new challenges with resources at hand.
Demonstrated strong communication skills, leadership and project management skills
Must have knowledge and experience of SUPPORTING applications on SharePoint in addition to the SharePoint infrastructure.Primary Responsibilities
Design the architecture of the SharePoint and initial delivery
Assess current Sharepoint/desktop tools in conjunction with systems integration and architecture teams to provide recommended solutions to meet current and future needs on a global basis, including implementation blueprints, industry best practices and vendor product guidelines.
Serve as the key global contributing technical lead for Sharepoint/desktop tools and enterprise wide solutions for multiple and concurrent small to medium sized cross functional projects.
Responsible for the design and management of global desktop systems, remote access and application distribution systems including application installation and upgrades.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend purchase, deployment or enhancement of relevant solutions.
May participate in the development and documentation of best practices and procedures related to desktop software distribution and management.
May participate in the development and maintenance of the companys disaster recovery plan.
Utilize cross functional knowledge to independently prioritize and resolve day to day small conflicts among various projects.
Handle complex issues and propose full solution plans to management, including risk assessments, resource and timeline estimation.
Collaborate globally and cross functionally and liaise with external vendors and support resources through the full project life cycle.
