2 VP – Finance, Operations and Systems, Enterprise Wide

Location: Hartford, CT

Role Summary

This is a key strategic financial leadership role within the Enterprise Operations and Technology finance team. Reporting to the Enterprise Operations and Technology CFO, this leader will play an important role in driving the tight linkage between business and operational strategies with sound financial management processes. This role requires extensive written and verbal communication practices and executes through cross disciplinary teams with a high degree of collaboration. The incumbent will be accountable for managing over $500M of annual operational investments.

In addition, this person will drive analysis and management over management reporting & planning, business analytics and metrics as well as business risk management activities. The incumbent will need to assess the impact of competing alternatives and recommend actions based on financial and business objectives.

Role Expectations

  • Provide mastery level strategic financial analysis in understanding the expected economic outcomes of Operational and business decisions.
  • Partner with the Operations Senior Leadership team and further develop the planning process, including the implementation of a multi-year financial outlook as well as robust reporting, metrics and linkage of strategic and tactical financial management with plans.
  • Formulate effective financial oversight and internal accounting standards which comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the organization¿s expense management process to ensure that expense goals are met and in line with profit objectives, consistent with company policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the financial/accounting and LOB communities.
  • Provide leadership, direction and development to a group of financial professionals ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of a high-performing organization.

    Experience

    B.S./B.A. in Business Related Field (Finance, Economics or Accounting. MBA/CPA preferred.
    10+ Years professional experience.
    Outstanding strategic financial analysis experience.
    Leadership accomplishments in dynamic environments.
