Job Description
The Department of Anthropology at the Field Museum invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Anthropology starting in July 2013. The position is currently funded for one year (nine months).
Job Duties
The Postdoctoral Fellow will teach 1-2 university courses per year and will be expected to carry out collection-based research on our collections and initiate independent and collaborative projects leading to publications with our Curators. The Fellow will be encouraged to submit a senior research grant with a Field Museum faculty member during the fellowship period.
Qualifications
We invite applications from scholars who have recently completed a PhD in anthropology/archaeology. Applicants must have a PhD in hand by the time of application and must demonstrate advanced proficiency in the English language.
