My client, a top global law firm, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal for its Chicago office. This position provides support to all levels of personnel within the office.

Primary Responsibilities

Preparation of probate documents.

Preparation of Federal and State Estate, Inheritance, Income and Gift Tax Returns.

Preparation of Accounting of Estate Assets.

Preparation of Estate Planning documents including Last Will and Testament, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts.

Knowledge of funding of Trusts.

Assist in Estate Trust terminations and asset distribution.

Perform traditional estate administration work; gathering, valuing and transferring assets, etc.

On-going interaction and communication with attorneys, opposing counsel, clients and other third parties.

Perform due diligence examination and review of documents for various types of trust and estate transactions.

Organize and produce final document deliverables for attorneys, opposing counsel and clients.

These duties may be ongoing or adhoc in nature.

Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience providing exceptionally high quality service to clients.

Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, writing skills and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Explorer and Excel.

Bachelors Degree and a Paralegal certificate or a 4 year Paralegal degree desired.

Experience in Trusts & Estates matters required.
