Purpose

The Online Designer will design and oversee layout of various web graphics, banners, bricks and games for G4tv.com and any third party partners.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly understand the Esquire brand, and be a leader in bringing the network's voice to life across all creative expressions with an advanced understanding of digital media

Create and concept digital design elements for various outlets, including mobile apps, flash/static/rich show banners, bricks, games, integrated marketing opportunities, evites, ecards and email blasts.

Execute all designs, and build all elements to the appropriate technical standards

Follow through on every project from beginning to end, with a high degree of Communication and technical knowledge

Help to improve the quality and efficiency of the department by maintaining Technical standards

Execute project concepts in a timely manner

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience creating web graphics and banners preferably for entertainment clients

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be able to provide an online portfolio of work samples

Must be able to work overtime and weekends necessary on occasions to fulfill job responsibilities

Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered

Must be willing to take and submit to a background investigation

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics

Strong technical skills

Thorough understanding of Adobe Flash—from both a design and programming standpoint

Strong design, type design and animation skills

Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and some ActionScript2, HTML and CSS

Ability to take on multiple projects and prioritize them in order to meet all deadlines

Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure

Must have a collaborative approach, the ability to work with online, photos and editorial departments and to professionally represent themselves at all times

Must stay current on design software and trends in contemporary design

Must stay aware of competitive networks and advertising trends

Must be organized and have strong attention to detail
