Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist consist of but are not limited to:

  • Maintains confidentiality at all times to include personal records, audits and surveys.
  • Enters all employee information into ADP system
  • Assists with the sourcing of candidates for opened positions
  • Works with management to ensure accuracy of Job Descriptions
  • Responsible for accuracy of information in ADP system
  • Employee Relations work
  • Process paperwork necessary in hiring and termination of employment
  • Partners with the management team to provide generalist support
  • Facilitates trainings for the plant
  • Coordination and processing of New Hire Paperwork- offer letter, background and drug screen
  • Responsible for day one preparation activities; ordering name tags, smocks, business cards etc.
  • Responsible for employee on-boarding
  • Manages verification of previous employee requests
  • Assist employees with benefit information and paperwork
  • Responsible for supplying employment verification information as requested
  • Handling unemployment paperwork claims if necessary
  • Partners with safety coordinator in filing of workers compensation claims; liaison between employee and workers compensation insurance company as needed
  • Backup for reception
  • Administrative tasks as assigned
  • Responsible for the management and continued upkeep of company org charts

  • Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some post-secondary education preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources employment laws
  • Exceptional knowledge ADP and Microsoft Office

  • Receive verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
