  • The GWP Product Manager must focus on providing innovative, forward looking solutions that meet the market objectives while establishing the framework for providing SEI a competitive advantage in delivering client value in the future. This balance is a key responsibility of the GWP Product Manager to ensure that our solutions not only meet the market needs of today, but are well positioned to meet the market needs in the future
  • The GWP Product Manager must work with key internal and external stakeholders, and synthesize the (sometimes competing) requirements into a single, common Vision for the program which the Product Manager must continuously communicate to the development teams, using a series of rolling wave vision briefings, which highlight the proposed features of the solution.
  • Working with Portfolio Management and the Market Units to determine priority and business objectives. The product manager is an active member of the extended Portfolio Management Team, and participates in decision-making about the key economic drivers for future releases.
  • The GWP Product Manager develops strong working relationships with Market Units, as well as vendors, development teams, operations, legal and IT. Owning and communicating the leveraged program vision falls to the GWP Product Manager who is the 'content authority' for a release train, and has the primary responsibility to define the 'what' for each release train solution.
  • Working with system architects to understand business and technical architectural epics, the GWP Product Manager is expected to understand the scope of the upcoming business and technical architectural work and to assist with decision-making and sequencing with respect to implementation of the key technological infrastructures that will host the new business epics.
  • The GWP Product Manager will ensure that there is supporting documentation regarding significant use cases, user scenarios, relevant standards and nonfunctional requirements to allow for the understanding of and breaking of features into stories for implementation.
