  • About This JobResponsibilities

    This position is responsible for the technical planning of Assembly, logistics and manufacturing process equipment and controls. The selected candidate will independently drive and perform all aspects of project management; from the early concept, design and implementation phases until completion and handover to the customer including series production support issues. Further, this person is responsible for managing change order requests, punch list resolution activities and adherence to project investment budgets and schedules. The person must interface with and include all internal/ external project stakeholders in the decision making processes, while coordinating the activities of equipment suppliers and contractors. Will work in close cooperation with international and domestic project teams, international and domestic travel may be required. The position will perform other duties as assigned by operations manager.

    This is a long term contract position with full time hours.

    Qualifications

  • S. degree in electrical engineering or computer science, plus 10+ years manufacturing experience in a technical support or planning role. OR B.S degree in electrical engineering or computer science, plus 6+ years manufacturing experience in a technical support or planning role.

    Advanced level of knowledge and experience in PLC controls programming and visualization systems as used in a high volume manufacturing environment.

    Experience with complex conveyor systems, automatic stacking and retrieval systems, Variable frequency drives, industrial robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic controls.

    Expert knowledge of electrical engineering standards and practices and the ability to use ECAD software platforms to design complex control systems.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

    Detailed understanding of US and IEC codes and regulations

    German language skills would be helpful.
