About This JobJob Description
Provides project planning, installation, start-up and acceptance, as well as engineering support of new installations and optimization measures of the conveyor and equipment technology in Assembly. Engineers the planning of technical equipment within Assembly as delegated by the Section Manager, Assembly. Evaluates concept evaluations with technical and financial focus for new facility and process equipment. Provides Project oriented planning and realization of measures in collaboration with the internal customer as well as external suppliers. Finds the optimum solutions in regard to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation and environment. Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding structural capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Provides cost estimation (Invest, Budget), technical specification and request for quotes. Evaluates, coordinates and compiles bidder circle, call for bids, offers evaluation, recommendation for the award of contract, acceptance of the equipment from the suppliers and handing over to the operator as delegated by the Section Manager, Assembly. Develops and implements equipment countermeasures to improve equipment reliability. Ensures all equipment design is capable of 98% up time (TS-4x equipment up time). Ensures all assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effective (TS-4x countermeasures). Ensures all assigned projects are on schedule and at/or under approved budget (TS-4x variance to budget).
Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.
This is a long term contract position with full time hours.

Duties
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred)
or the equivalent of 4 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.
3 years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive).
3 years of Project Management experience in several equipment and/or controls planning projects as well as structural modification.
Advanced = experience in assembly, controls and equipment (PLC Alan Bradley & Siemens S7; E-Plan).
Advanced = problem investigation & data analysis experience.
Advanced = long and short-term project management experience (continuous improvement, process analysis, controls planning)
Advanced = cross functional communication experience
Advanced = equipment maintenance experience in electrical, controls, software and mechanical areas.
Intermediate = experience using Microsoft Office applications
Intermediate = experience in CAD
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ability to use and apply statistical methods to aid with process analysis
German language skills preferred.
Siemens S7 is required
