About This JobDescription

Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for License Renewal Implementation Project. Work to provide engineering support for License Renewal activities. Acts a Mechanical engineer responsible for delivery of documentation packages, primarily Fire Protection Related - to confirm NRC License Renewal Commitments have been completed. Will require active coordination w/ station System & Component Engineers, Station Maintenance Organization, Regulatory Compliance, Procedure Writers, Work Planning, & or groups as identified to actively manage multiple work tasks; including: Primary responsibility shall be to conduct research to ensure that all actions that have been committed to are complete. Prepares thorough & accurate documentation packages that will become bases for compliance w/ License Renewal NRC Commitments.

Duties

Qualifications

Previous experience in Licensing or License Renewal Program work is req. & viewed - highly desirable.

Mechanical engineering concepts related to component & system degradation, corrosion types & concepts, coatings assessment, & related aging assessment concepts.

Engineering in nuclear plant including work implementation processes.

BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum of 10 yrs experience at a nuclear utility.

Excellent technical writing & ability to develop & document engineering analyses.

Effective planning, time management, & prioritizing skills to achieve desired results w/ minimal supervision.

Communication, speaking, negotiating, & influencing skills required.

Team leadership &/or project management skills.

Experience at a nuclear facility.

Previous experience as a Component, Program, or System/Plant Eng in a related area.

Working knowledge of wide range of structure & component periodic testing & inspection evolutions.

Understanding of Passport Asset Suite software tool (NAS, Ventyx, etc.)

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Tech field.
