About This JobJob Description

This position will supplement the current engineering staff of the PSW Project with a team of nuclear experienced, seasoned engineers for an approximate period of 8 months starting as soon as possible.

The individual will provide civil engineering support for the development and implementation of Engineering Changes (modifications) in the Major Projects Group. The immediate need involves civil engineering support of activities associated with the excavation, shoring, modification/repair, and back-fill of buried safety related piping. Longer term duties include structural and concrete design of miscellaneous structures associated with the buried piping design. Duties also include providing engineering support for resolution of field problems during implementation.

Qualifications

BS degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. Five (5) years related industrial experience in civil engineering. Ability to effectively work and contribute with various members of an engineering team. Previous experience with engineering changes

Desired Qualifications

Previous experience/training in excavation and shoring practices. Technically knowledgeable in Civil Engineering Steel Construction and Concrete practices. Familiarity with ACI Concrete and AISC Structural Steel Codes.
