Summary

Develops and delivers detailed IT solutions through consulting project activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include client identification through final invoicing for engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
  • Performance is typically evaluated based on utilization, (i.e., billable hours).
  • Project management activities include interaction with company and client managers and cost/schedule monitoring.
  • May have some financial responsibilities including project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing. May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities.
  • Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.
  • Will be involved in complete life cycle of EMI/data warehousing and Business Process Management project with responsibility for requirement collection, designing, implementing, supporting, modifying and maintaining complex data warehousing/business intelligence and EMI systems.
  • Responsibilities also include programs and project documentation; performing complicated business analysis, database design, systems administration tasks, and/or programming; and working as a member of project teams, providing expertise on customer systems and processes.

  • Qualifications

    3 to 6 years of experience in dimensional modeling, project mgt., development, implementation and maintenance across multiple hardware/software platforms (Market or internship experience)
    Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer science or Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

  • Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse consulting and design, Business Process Management (BPM) or R&D projects. Knowledge of Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) experience will be a great plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools, business process management technologies, relational and OLAP database mgt. systems, office software, and multi-tiered application/solution development/implementation.
  • Required skills include detailed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008 business intelligence (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Microsoft SharePoint ; Knowledge of other BI technologies such as Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos etc will be a great plus.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise manufacturing/Supply chain intelligence domain will be preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences with strong interpersonal, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to accomplish complex technical investigation, design, programming and troubleshooting tasks with minimal supervision
