This position is responsible for the overall intake and admission process that includes screening, evaluating and referring potential patients to the appropriate sources for help. Coordinates admissions with the business office and treatment programs. Maintains and monitors phone and written correspondence between major referral sources and hospital. Facilitates a comfortable admission process for patients and families.

Education

• Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related Social Services area.

Desirable Characteristics Include

• at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
• Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standard when no directions are given.
• Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
