Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Position Responsibilities Include
Maintain cleanliness of patients, as well as their supplies
Aid patients in performing specific tasks pertaining to their needs
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Record all vital signs
If necessary, transport patients to appropriate locations
Provide nutrition when applicable
Requirements May Include
Current signed New York State CNA certification
Evidence of CNA education program attended
Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (unrestricted Social Security card, U.S. passport, Permanent Resident card, Employment Authorization, U.S. birth certificate, foreign passport with appropriate visa, etc.) and ID
One or two years' experience in the appropriate unit, the requirement depending upon the facility and the unit
Two recent clinical references
Annual physical
Annual TB screening (negative ppd, or negative chest x-ray in case of positive ppd)
Lab test results and / or immunization records showing immunity to: Hepatitis B, Rubeola, Mumps (not required for all facilities), Rubella, Varicella
Current BLS certification
Competency testing to be completed via internet
Annual Core Mandatory testing to be completed via internet
