Job Description

Shift runs from 6:00pm - 6:30am. Days worked will vary week to week depending on maintenance schedule.

  • Performs preventive maintenance of critical plant equipment on a regular basis.

  • Responsible for repairing and troubleshooting automation equipment, utility systems and mechanical and electrical equipment.
    • Must be familiar with plant SOPs, critical systems and local GMP practices.

  • Will provide a moderate level of troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of building systems, equipment and equipment components which includes but not limited to : automation equipment, pneumatic systems, packaging & sealing equipment, compressors; pumps, piping, and plumbing components; facility equipment.
    • Requires some familiarity with generally accepted building, plumbing, piping, electrical, and fire protection practices and codes.

  • Must follow safety rules and ensure compliance with state and federal EPA regulation and laws.
    • Attends required training, meetings, and QWTs.
    Job Requirements Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

    Knowledge Of ISO, FDA, OSHA, QSR

    Ability to communicate with a multi ethnic team

    Basic knowledge and understating of physical parameters, i.e. weight, volume, force, length, temperature, voltage, amperage, etc.

    Basic knowledge and understanding of measuring techniques for above.

    Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with other engineers, production leads, supervisors and team members..

    Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic schematics

    Basic knowledge and ability to operate machining equipment (i.e. lathe, mill, band saw, etc.)

    Basic knowledge of PLC programming

    Basic knowledge of industrial maintenance activities.

    Ability to use power tools.

    Ability to work in high places, such as on scissor lift or ladder

    Attention to detail.

    Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs. occasionally

    Ability to work in a team environment.

    Education Or Formal Training

    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Experience

    3-5 years of related industrial maintenance experience

    Material And Equipment Directly Used

    Computer, printer, keyboard, mouse

    Office equipment such as telephone, copy machine

    Digital Caliper, Weight scale, beakers, pipettes, digital multi meter.

    Hand tools.

    Power tools

    Machine shop tools

    Electronic Measurement tools

    Overtime may be required

    Standing

    Bending

    Sitting

    Reaching

    Crawling

    Climbing

    Disposal of hazardous materials

    Working Environment/Physical Activities

    Workspace is in a clean room and controlled environment.

    Normal machine shop environment requiring normal safety precautions and PPE.

    Some lifting of heavy articles >50 pounds

    E/M manufacturing floor, clean room, machine shop, engineering lab
