Under general supervision, the Warehouse Pre-Acceptance Specialist provides support to overall operations in mailing and shipping. Responsible for the efficient processing of outgoing shipments. Reports to the Production Control Manager, with day-to-day supervision and support from Mailing Control Supervision and Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Pre/Mail Clearance through various tasks, including Pre-verification, MCIS Entry, Strapping
  • Lifts up to 75 pounds repeatedly. Bends, twists, stands, and walks continuously throughout the shift. Continuous physical work involved in preparing, delivering, loading and unloading of materials throughout the production process as in normal warehouse operations.
  • Supports material handling processes
  • Operational proficiency with pallet jack
  • Compare identifying information, counts, weights and records
  • Remove and stage completed mail from production
  • Ensure proper and safe removal of all waste/recycle materials
  • Prepare physical outbound shipments
  • Load / Unload truck shipments
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Safe operation of other equipment as needed
  • Adhere to policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, security, safety and professional conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Background/Skills Required

  • 2
  • years experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving/mailing
  • Function as a team member of the entire production operation
  • Solid Written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience using warehouse computer applications
  • Ability to maintain positive, professional demeanor at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Work involves standing, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), walking
  • Knowledge of MS Office preferred
