The primary purpose of the cook is to prepare food in accordance with established menus, recipes, and sanitary standards.

As A Cook You Will

  • Review menus prior to preparation of food
  • Assure that all food procedures are followed
  • Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
  • Assist with the purchase and inventory of the food supply
  • Prepare and serve meals
    • Requirements
    Cook must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    One (1) year of food experience in a supervisory capacity at a hospital, nursing home facility, to other related medical facility preferred.
    • Experience with quantity food preparation
    • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
    • Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
