In this role you will...
- Create new design and product standards for global applications.
- Maintain standards database for design and product standards.
- Audit program teams for standards compliance.
- Report standards usage for products in development.
- Train and mentor program teams on the applications and implementations of standards.
- Work closely with the Valeo and Ichikoh for global product standards.
- Work to converge all lighting design standards and standard components into one cohesive database.
- Create and validate new product design standards that ensure quality, performance and cost objectives.
- Track and document the usage and application of standards on all product developments.
- Candidate should be able to work with the design team on a daily basis to drive standards and guidelines into the design.
- Bachelor's Degree required with technical field of expertise preferred.
- Mechanical Design engineer strongly preferred.
- Two years in related field with plastics knowledge.
- Demonstrated application of CAD skills, prefer Catia V5. Strong computer aptitude.
- Capability to understand a wide variety of technical concepts.
- Demonstrated understanding of geometric dimension and tolerencing (GD&T).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
- Candidate should be able to drive technical resolution on major design concerns.
