Responsibilities

We are looking for an EHS Professional with 3+ years’ experience in health and safety who are interested in the dynamic world of consulting. Responsibilities can include any or all of the following:

  • Developing and implementing written EHS programs

  • Performing health and safety audits and conducting IH evaluations at client locations in all types of industries including field sampling with client organizations concerning workplace health hazards and control options
    • Applying scientific and engineering principles and methods to identify, analyze and control hazards

  • Performing EHS inspections & assessments such IH, PPE, and machine guarding
    • Supporting technical safety and health training

  • Evaluating compliance with regard to state and federal occupational health and safety regulations, laws, rules and codes
    • Educating employees about occupational health and safety hazards

  • Performing ergonomics assessments at client sites and implement ergonomic solutions
    • Educating and training employees about occupational health and safety hazards

  • Responding to emergencies and conduct accident investigations and create follow up responses
    • Recognizing, evaluating and controlling chemical and physical hazards in a client’s work place

  • This position is primarily a technical contributor/doer, but may also be beginning to develop new business in a client expansion role
    • May be required to work with or in an environment that contains chemicals or hazardous materials.

  • May be required to travel within and outside the Hillsboro area to support EORM and client activities.
  • Requirements:
    In addition, the following skills are important to be successful in this role

    • Understanding health and safety regulatory requirements, specifically Cal/OSHA standards and conducting regulatory compliance audits.

  • Success building effective working relationships with department managers such as engineering and manufacturing.
    • Performing project management and internal customer management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to use mathematics (including basic algebra and statistics)

  • Ability to gather and organize data from multiple sources
    • Ability to plan and implement projects

  • Basic computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business writing and presentation ability
  • Other Requirements

    • Requires 5+ years of EHS&S work experience

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS&S related field of study
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and car and be able to drive throughout the region for client related projects.

  • Must be able to travel by plane outside the region to support client work in other locations on occasion. 25% estimated travel time.
