Management is filling the Team Leader, Engineering (Pipeline Projects) position at either the Houston, TX or Charleston, WV office locations.
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE: The Team Leader, Pipeline Project Engineering will report to the Manager , Pipeline Engineering. The Team Leader will provide direction and oversight for a pipeline project engineering team to successfully coordinate the survey, engineering, and design needs of key infrastructure modernization initiatives, market expansion projects, as well as sustaining maintenance projects, with a potential development opportunity of over $4 billion in projects over the next 10 years.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead and provide strategic direction for a team of Company and third party engineers in the development of gas transmission expansion, modernization, and maintenance project engineering and design deliverables.
Coordinate a team of Engineers to deliver project work scopes consistent with strategic initiatives across functional and regional boundaries by coordinating with Engineering Technical Services, Operations, Land, Environmental Permitting, and Project Delivery.
Develop and implement consistent project cost estimating guidelines for the pipeline portfolio of projects.
Organize, strengthen, and develop a process for routine review and revision of the NGTS Pipeline Engineering Standards Specifications.
Oversee and manage third-party engineering in the preparation of work scopes, cost estimates, design packages, and material requisitions, within budget, meeting NGTS Standards and applicable codes.
Define, develop and provide guidance for NGTS project engineering management methodology; to ensure that projects are well-defined and resources are appropriately managed to achieve business value, coordinating and considering all facets of project engineering support.
Manage program level capital budgeting and forecasting for Company and third party Engineering labor and expenses.
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit that fosters creative and innovative thinking that leads to customer satisfaction.
