6 month contract position
Description
- Prepare loan closing documents and deliver them to Title Closing Agents
- Coordinate HUD approval and complete system updates
- Review, analyze and prepare closing loan documents in a paperless and high volume environment
- Validate mortgage insurance certificate and coverage
- Review title requirements for state specific mortgage attachments and /or state mortgage tax requirements
- Complete Operating system for closing information
- Check cash back and input wiring instructions
- Verify prior to close conditions are cleared and docs are in the file
- Review expiration dates for credit report, rate lock, appraisal, approval
- Prepare and send closing/final settlement instructions to escrow/title
- Review and approve prelim HUD-1 or HUD-1a Settlement Statement for accuracy and compliance per 2010 RESPA regulations
- Ensure all corrections are made per RESPA compliance
- Complete closing checklist and confirm closing has occurred by the title company
- Audit calculations and legal documents for accuracy
- Communicate requirements and other information to clients including Title exceptions
- Communicate with borrowers verifying information or obtain clarification of information from title report
- Interface with escrow/title to facilitate delivery, execution and funding of loan
Requirements
- 2 - 4 years experience in the mortgage lending industry
- Funding, Closing or Processing background/experience
- Experience in a paperless mortgage environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Detail orientated
- Excellent multi-tasking and communication skills
- Ability to manage time well and to constantly prioritize in a busy production environment
- Problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong computer skills using multiple software programs at the same time
- Positive attitude and willing to work flexible hours
- Education: High School diploma or college degree
