Description

The primary responsibility is to provide communication interface between the Owner/Client/ outage organizations, Operations, and Maintenance Departments, the S&L Construction Management Organization and installation and testing Contractors. This includes installation testing and pre-operational start up support.

Responsibilities

Secondary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Facilitate removal of barriers to work performance
  • Interface with engineering to resolve technical issues
  • Monitor schedule updates, cost and installation metrics. Analyze work progress against the schedule and prepare timely analysis reports for the use of project/site management. Provide management reports and information.
  • Provide accountable and responsive assistance to requests from the installation Contractor(s) including test and start-up support.
  • Immediately forward any reports that concern personnel or operational safety, potential reportability, or significant human performance issues to the Outage Manager.
  • Be continuously aware of status of major outage activities including critical path and near-critical path activities. Verify that the outage organization has prioritized and assigned actions appropriately for the S&L workscope. If necessary, provide information to work group supervision to ensure that status of all critical path activities is reported on an timely basis.
  • Coordinating with Engineering and Contractors to determine needed dates for design/engineering/material compatible with outage schedules.
  • DOES NOT control, manage, or supervise craft.

  • Essential Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or Construction Management (w/emphasis in mechanical or electrical engineering or construction area), or Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Studies and demonstrated prior experience in nuclear construction, maintenance, operations.
  • 10 or more years applicable experience, including nuclear power plant new construction, major modification project installations, and/or significant maintenance outage management support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency using P6 scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated Client relationship building experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work at various domestic nuclear power plants.
